ABOUT ME
At the age of 4, I decided I was going to be a doctor.
By the age of 5 I realized that I faint at the sight of blood, and that dream crashed and burned. I nursed the dream of being a ballerina for a while...and then I woke up one morning and I was 5'7."
So naturally I turned to acting. Thank goodness, because this career path is much more stable than one in that ever-changing medical field.
I also like comedy.
I grew up in St. Charles, IL and luckily I attended a high school that was known for the arts. I played the flute in the band and our director, James Kull, was a former member of the Manhattan Transfer and got us a concert at Carnegie Hall. As a young musician, it's hard to top Carnegie Hall.
I decided to challenge myself further and pursue acting professionally. Acting became a part of my life at an early age and that lead me to study Theatre Arts at Marquette University in MIlwaukee, WI. I learned very quickly that being somewhere cold was not for me.
After graduation, I wound up in NYC assistant directing Henry V for TITAN Theatre Company in January of 2012 after an internship through Marquette at the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre. I love NYC. I still hated the cold. I moved back home after this internship and did some theatre in Chicago. Did I mention I hate the cold?
This prompted my move to Los Angeles. I love the beach. I love acting for the camera. I love the warm weather. I love palm trees. I love having a car. I don't love the traffic...but I'll let that slide :)
